Days out from Stonebarrow Manor Holiday Cottages – Lyme Regis

Lyme Regis – full of quirky charms and unusual buildings

10 minutes away in the car from Stonebarrow Manor, but why not make it real day out and walk to Lyme Regis along the beach when the tide is out? Or catch the Jurassic Coaster bus to Lyme Regis and walk back along the beach? Check the tide times then decide from there.  Either way it’s 1½ miles along the beach – a bit of care needed over some of the stones and remember not to sit underneath the cliffs.

Lyme Regis itself is very popular, with lots of things to do and places to eat. You can walk along the prom and then up on the Cobb. Or go on the beach then have lunch at Swim Café and watch the world go by?  Another place well worth a visit is the Boat Building Academy and Furniture School, It’s just past The Cobb near Monmouth Beach.

A sunny day on The Cobb at Lyme Regis

If you’re staying on for the evening in Lyme before returning to Stonebarrow Manor how about dinner at Lilac Restaurant and Wine Bar on Broad Street or The Lyme Bay Restaurant near the seafront on Bridge Street.
